The Colorado Classic Stallion Auction & Incentive website (coloradoclassicstallions.com) is operated by Exceleration Designs, Inc. (doing business as Big Sky Internet Design) on behalf of the Colorado Classic Futurity and Derby. This policy describes what information we collect on this site and how we use it.
Information We Collect
When you register as a bidder we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. Registration also requires a payment card, which you enter through our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe stores the card details; this site keeps the reference Stripe returns and not your full card number. As you use the auction we also keep records of your bids, purchases, and account activity. If you email or call us, we have whatever you choose to share in that message. Our server logs record technical details such as IP address and browser type.
How We Use It
We use your information to run the auction and answer your questions. This includes managing your bidder account, processing bids and purchases, sending auction-related emails such as bid confirmations, outbid notices, and win notifications, and replying to messages you send us. We do not sell your personal information.
Who We Share It With
We share your information with the service providers who help us run the auction, including Stripe, our payment processor, and our text-message provider. We share it with the stallion owner or farm when you win a bid, so the breeding contract can be arranged. We may share it if required by law. We do not share your information with other parties for their own marketing purposes.
Text Message Alerts
The Colorado Classic Stallion Auction & Incentive, operated by Exceleration Designs, Inc. (doing business as Big Sky Internet Design), offers optional text-message (SMS) alerts to registered bidders who opt in.
Information we collect. When you opt in we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent, including the date, time, the wording you agreed to, and technical details such as IP address.
How we use it. We use your number solely to send the alerts you signed up for. This includes registration confirmations, bid confirmations, outbid alerts, and win or purchase notifications. We also use it to manage your subscription, including confirmation, HELP, and STOP requests.
We do not sell or share your number for marketing. No mobile information, meaning phone numbers or SMS opt-in and consent data, will be shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share your number only with our messaging provider as needed to deliver these messages on our behalf, and as required by law.
Consent. Consent to receive text alerts is not a condition of bidding or of registering for the auction.
Frequency and rates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to cancel. Reply HELP for help. Or contact Kayla Jones at [email protected] or 303-596-3038. Our alerts are sent from a single number shared across the auctions we operate, so replying STOP cancels alerts from all of them, not only this one. To stop alerts for this auction only, use the Turn Off All Text Alerts option on your Text Alerts page.
Retention. We keep consent and opt-out records as needed to document compliance.
Cookies
This site uses cookies where needed to keep you signed in to your bidder account and to make the auction work. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but parts of the auction may not work without them.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you provide, including limiting who can access it and working with providers that secure payment and messaging data on our behalf. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site and the auction are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us using the details below and we will remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when we post the revised policy on this page, and we will update the effective date above.
