Stallion Eligibility Years

We do not have foal nominations. Eligibility is based on the year the stallion was enrolled in the program.

For 2025 and prior - Foals BORN during the year that their sire was enrolled are eligible for the bonus money at the Colorado Classic for life.

Starting in 2026, the stallion enrollment year will make those horses CONCEIVED in the enrollment year eligible for life. If a stallion is enrolled in 2026 and advertised as a Colorado Classic stallion, you can plan on that resulting foal being Colorado Classic Eligible.

If the stallion is also enrolled in the current year you are running, your horse is eligible. For 2026, all foals running sired by 2026 stallions will be eligible for incentive money.

Horses that were 100% paid up in a previous Colorado Classic Futurity or Derby/Maturity are eligible to enter as well for the remainder of their competitive career. These horses can be eligible for the bonus money if the stallion was enrolled the year they entered the futurity or if the stallion was enrolled their year of birth (2025 and prior). All final stallion incentive entries are up to the discretion of the producer.
